I have been an avid fan of John Grisham forever. I have in fact read every single thing he has ever written. Having said that - I absolutely thought this book was awful. It’s slow moving w completely irrelevant parts - almost as if he needed a word quota. The entire book is depressing without having a point. After trudging through the whole book one of the last lines was - “what a family.” 🤦♀️. You have got to be kidding me? That’s all there is? Just one of the worst books Grisham in my opinion has ever written. Extremely disappointing - do not waste ur money. 🙄
This book was so frustrating to read. Amazing individual destroys family for no good reason. Others have ability to save family but don’t repeatedly. Very thin legal framework and ZERO legal twist whatsoever.
Hard to put down!

Not as good as the rest of his books. I have always loved his books and this one left me disappointed
Interesting story and insight into the world war II, but as a courtroom/lawyer novel, pretty damned uneventful. If he wanted to write a novel about the war he should have without using his courtroom legacy as a hook.
A long, boring, tedious book. I almost did not finish it but I paid money for it so I did.
Waste of money. Can’t believe Josh Grisham wrote this. Kept waiting for something exciting, never happened. I want my money back.
